Vance has been on a variety of profit, nonprofit and advisory boards. His affiliations began as Florida’s top Charter President of the US Jaycees in 1969. Representative current and past affiliations include: Founder of the Professional Coaches and Mentors Association, Founder and President of the Young Leader’s Organization and a board member of Silverado Senior Living, Inc., Private Access, PersonalCare Physicians, Stanford Business School Alumni Association and IMRI. Vance is a professor in leadership and entrepreneurism with Pepperdine University for M.B.A. and Doctoral candidates. He has been in “Who’s Who in America” for over thirty years and was a regular contributor to the Franklin Covey magazine Priorities. He was also selected to the Orange County Grand Jury.
Vance has been the operating head of publicly owned daily newspapers, owned his own media group, led groups of executives in myriad developmental situations and been an individual and organizational consultant. His interest is in life-long learning and stimulating the entrepreneurial spirit in each person with whom he works, while helping each be a “Happy High Achiever”.
Vance holds a B.S. degree from The Citadel, where he attended on a full football scholarship. His Master’s in Business Administration is from Florida Atlantic University, and he is a graduate of the Stanford Business Schools Executive Program. His Ph.D. from Walden University is in Organizational Psychology. His doctoral research was on personality characteristics associated with high achieving executives who became successful entrepreneurs. His work the last three decades has emphasized coaching leaders to be part of the eight percent of high achievers and successful/business leaders, who are also happy.

Men's and women's leadership weekends for managers and leaders committed to further strengthening their results professionally, personally and inter personally, these two and a half day intensives are high R.O.I. experiences we've constantly updated over the 17 years they've been offered.
Conducted at a remarkable mountain retreat center in Southern California, these offer time for high quality Reviewing, Renewing and Recommitting for participants interested in being even happier as they achieve even more of what they truly want.
Many participants use these retreats as a supplement to their one-on-one coaching. That is why these are by invitation only.
Objective:
Help proven managers become extraordinary leaders of self and others at work, home and in their community.
Methodology:
Customized individual leadership development using experiential, classical and peer coaching/learning. Each YLO group is facilitated by Dr. Caesar who has repeated extraordinary results in similar settings for over two decades.
Ten full day sessions hosted by participants in their own organizations. Where the senior leader(s) share their leadership story during lunch.
While assuring the core curriculum is fully examined, we constantly align the learning priorities with the group's needs and interests. The year-long program is launched with a two-day/night retreat at our mountain retreat in Idyllwild.
Another crucial component is the supportive team members who hold each other accountable for implementing actions that make their organizations better and more profitable.
Rounding out the YLO experience are opportunities to participant in many social gatherings, including those hosted by the Stanford and Pepperdine Business Schools Alumni Associations.
Eligibility Criteria:
Proven managing results the past three years in at least one professional setting.
Sponsored by participant’s employer or another senior leader who mentors his/her progress via periodic one-on-one sessions and speaks to the group when hosting the group’s meeting.
Able to fully engage in the kick-off weekend retreat.
Actively engaged in this program with no more than two meeting absences.
Presents and defends, a Career/Business Plan with milestones that can be supported and monitored by the leader and the group.
Ready to grow into the next phase of one's career and life.
Fiscal reminders:
Participants will be hosting their group’s full day meetings providing morning, noon and afternoon nourishment plus an appropriate meeting place (and directions how to get there). The initial two-day/night session will be a team retreat hosted by The Vance Caesar Group, Inc.
